Little Leaders Forest and Beach schools are run by Brittany and Claire.
Forest school: Our Forest school sessions provide a unique method of outdoor learning education that allows children to build confidence, self-esteem and awareness and knowledge of the woodland or natural environment through hands on learning. The children will participate in a variety of activities that are totally inclusive and adapted for all ability levels. They are taught a variety of woodland skills through practical learning.
The children can use their imaginations with den building and work together with their friends on team work. The children have great fun rolling down the hills, playing in the water and develop in the outdoors whatever their age and whatever the weather!
“We play 1,2,3 Where are you? which is our hide and seek game and a firm favourite of the children. We end every session with a turn of holding their chosen stick and expressing what they have enjoyed about the session. I can honestly say I have as much fun if not more than the children every session” Claire: Forest School Leader
Beach school: These sessions teach our children five pathways to water connection which are: compassion, meaning, beauty, emotion and senses. Giving children the time and space to explore the wonders of nature consistently allows them to develop their own style of learning and awe of the world. We visit local beaches to teach the children these connections and allow them the space to grow and develop within the beauty of the beach.
“We experimented with sound today and listened to the sounds the stones made when the children threw them into the water. They discovered that the bigger stones made a bigger splash and the smaller ones made a smaller splash. Lots of fun had by all!” Brittany: Beach and Forest school Leader
